Healthcare Reform

I think a chat with a gaming friend of mine sums up my greatest fear. Misinformation and lack of basic knowledge about the subject. I am not an expert and haven’t read through the bill with a fine-tooth comb. Hell, it even has a few downsides because of Obama’s devotion to playing nice with everyone. I do know the very basics of what is to come with healthcare reform because it affects me greatly.

Sorry for the raw transcript(aside from censoring screen names), but I think I need a shower. And yes… this made me blog for the first time in half a year or so I think.. probably more.

I will post my comment that I posted there:

Wow. I was enthralled with this article.

As I got to the comments section I see right away people saying this is one of the best, if not the best, articles on the HuffPost..

I agree, and it is very profound. There’s something to be said about believing in your most ideal vision of the world and trying your hardest to make it happen while stepping on the fewest toes as possible. That’s the inner clashing of a “team of rivals.”

Ultimately Obama might need to say “thanks for the advice, but I think it’s better to do it the way I thought of in the first place and THEN you can criticize me IF it fails.”

This article, to me, shows that if he tries too hard to keep everyone happy we will have a stale first term, and a good second term. Obama deserves a good first term, and a STELLAR second :)
